Lough Gill Brewing Co. Native IPA

What else would you do on a warm sunny summer's day? BBQ and Beer!

Grilled Piri Piri Chicken Thighs and Black Angus Ribeyes were the order of the day!

A quick dry rub on the beef and some piri piri sauce on the chicken for a hour or two always makes the difference with Some Creole butter over grilled corn on the cob calls for something with some body to accompany it!

My choice of beer for today was The Lough Gill Brewing Co's Native IPA. This reddish caramel coloured ale is the perfect BBQ brew. It's got a mild bitterness from the subtle hoppy kick and a long malty finish, making it a good match for food with strong bold flavours!

This beer hails from County Sligo and owes the name to the brewmaster who is a native American. This beer is currently on sale in Aldi stores and at a cost of €1.99 is excellent value for a craft beer.

A good beer to have one or two with food or again due to the drinkablilty and moreishness could be a dangerous if there are quite a few nearby!

Another solid 4 out of 5 for this beer! A great example of the craft beers that ireland has to offer than can hold there own when compared to the more well known international brands!
