Brewdog Punk IPA

So here goes the first attempt at this blogging lark. After spending the weekend eating and drinking in both the capital and as the 'Cork'onians call it, the "real" capital. I was looking for something to have on a Sunday night that would offer some refreshment! So.i decided to try something that I've wanted to taste for a while, Brewdogs Punk IPA, and it didn't disappoint!

This comes in at 5.6% abv, which is not strong compared to other IPAs. It's got a nice tropical/grapefruit nose with a subtle hoppy kick and sweet slightly malty aftertaste that leaves you wanting more! It's not overly hopped, I'm.not a fan of IPAs that dry out your mouth with every sip, this certainly doesn't do that!

As far as food goes, I didn't get a chance to try this With anything but I can imagine that burgers, seafood and anything with a spicy kick would complement this nicely.

Value wise, I got these on offer 4 x 330ml cans for €10, so it's not going to break the bank.

Overall this beer is a good all rounder and good introduction to IPAs and I would give it 4 out of 5. It's a good one for one or two cans and has potential to be an easy drinking party that is, as the name suggests, a little different to the mainstream beers.
